Wisdom Teeth (Third Molars)

Wisdom teeth are usually removed at an adult age, as they find no left space in the fully toothened jaw of the outgrown human. Wisdom teeth do have a certain tendency towards caries and severe infections of the gums.
In case of partly (partial impaction) or completely erupted teeth (retention) the gum structure becomes irregular and is more difficult to clean. They therefore tend to get infected and can lead to painful infections and cysts. In case of the removal of not yet erupted teeth, the surrounding anatomic structures as nerves and tissue are of priority and must not get harmed.

The removal of multiple wisdom teeth during one intervention is possible. It is the medical conditions that decide when and how the teeth are to be removed.
We , of course, doublecheck with our patients before deciding anything on their behalf.
